3 Currency Regulations & Money Changing in Bali
Under Indonesian Central Bank Law (UU Mata Uang No. 7/2011), all commercial retail transactions in Indonesia must be executed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Quotations shown in USD, AUD, EUR, or SGD on our website are estimates for convenience based on current exchange benchmarks.
Important Advice for Exchanging Money in Bali:
- Always use officially authorized money changers displaying the Bank Indonesia green badge (such as BMC Money Changer, Central Kuta, or Dirgahayu Valuta Prima).
- Never use small unauthorized kiosk stalls advertising impossibly high exchange rates with "No Commission" signs on side alleys; these are notorious for sleight-of-hand counting scams.
- Your private driver can gladly stop at a reputable bank ATM or certified money changer on your way from the airport or before starting your tour.
4 Payment Safety & Anti-Fraud Verification
To safeguard our guests against unauthorized third parties attempting to solicit payments, please remember:
- Verify Official WhatsApp Number: All communications and booking confirmations originate only from +62 851-5844-9402.
- Official Account Names: Bank accounts provided for deposit transfers will match the legal management names specified on your invoice.
- Do Not Pay Unsolicited Invoices: If you receive a payment request from any unknown number or personal social media account claiming to be Balian Tour, do not transfer and verify immediately with us.
