What People Say
Authentic feedback from real guests who booked this experience with Balian Tour.
"The highlight of our 2-week Bali trip!"
Chef Wayan Sudiana and his family welcomed us like old friends. The morning market tour was fascinating — learning how to pick fresh turmeric, galangal, and kaffir lime. Grinding our own bumbu on stone cobek and making sate lilit was so much fun. We cooked 10 dishes and the communal feast was delicious!
"Authentic village kitchen with individual stoves"
As someone passionate about cooking, I loved that everyone had their own dedicated cooking station and wok. Small group of only 6 guests ensured hands-on learning from Chef Wayan. The flavors of the chicken betutu and peanut sauce were out of this world.
"Incredible vegan menu prepared from scratch"
I requested a vegan menu via WhatsApp when booking, and they prepared separate plant-based Base Genep from scratch with organic vegetables from their village paddies. Free pickup from my Ubud hotel was right on time. Highly recommended!
